This developer culture DEFINES Linux. A fruit is either an apple or an orange. I couldn't have an OS with wonderful package management, developer tools, endless configurability AND a desktop Miguel de Icaza dreams of.



But I can have an OS with wonderful package management, developer tools, endless configurability AND a desktop Aaron Seigo and friends created.


The desktop wouldn't be configurable. Or not much more than Channing the background image.
